Grade 1 to Advanced 2

Teachers follow the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance syllabus and gradually introduce a tap technique that focuses on correct weight placement and alignment, to enable students to achieve sensitive tonal quality and neat and clear beating. The rhythm sections establish a musical understanding that is fundamental to tap dancing. Teachers introduce rhythm to younger children in a creative and challenging way. It is compulsory for modern or ballet to be learnt alongside tap to assist with strength, coordination and understanding of line.
