Children who show natural physical potential and/or an outstanding sense of performance may be asked by the Principal to join the Festival Team. Dance festivals are competitions that are split by dance genre and age of competitors. Our small team competes in three or four festivals each year which are all of an extremely high standard and enable qualification for the All England Dance Festival Regional and National Finals. Festival team children are required to attend extra ballet and body conditioning lessons as well as have private lessons for their competition dances. They also have the opportunity to enter into Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance competitions and audition for children's dance companies, the Royal Ballet School associate classes and West End shows.
