Uniform items must be purchased from a specialist dance shop. 'Duo Dance' in Herne Hill is the closest - 020 7274 4517.

'Dancia' in Covent Garden and 'Julienne' in Beckenham also stock some items of our uniform.

After an initial period of half a term, it is expected that your son will be wearing appropriate uniform. Ensure your son's name is on each piece of clothing.

No jewellery allowed (including earrings).

CLOTHING

White Royal Academy of Dance leotard or plain white vest/tight fitting t-shirt

Black lycra shorts (Nursery to Primary ballet, and all modern grades)

Black cotton leggings and soft belt (Grade 1 ballet and upwards)

Black tracksuit bottoms or Jazz pants (Junior 'Funky Moves' class, Levels 1, 2 & 3 jazz/street)

Black Jazz pants or trousers (optional for tap)

Dance support

White socks (long for ballet, short for tap, modern and jazz)

South London Dance Studios sweater (for warming up for Junior 'Funky Moves' class, Grade 2 modern and upwards, and Levels 1, 2 & 3 jazz/street, and for general wear outside class). Sweaters can only be purchased directly from the dance school.

BALLET SHOES

Black leather full-sole ballet shoes with crossed black elastic (Nursery to Grade 1 ballet - classes and examinations)

Black leather split-sole ballet shoes with crossed black elastic (Grade 2 ballet and upwards - classes and examinations)

Black canvas split-sole ballet shoes with crossed black elastic (Optional for classes for Grade 2 ballet and upwards)

TAP SHOES

Boys black leather tap shoes with laces and standard ball taps - heel taps not required but can be left on if already attached to shoes when bought (Preparatory tap)
